I am not the only one of the opinion that, when it comes to news radio, that the conservative viewpoint is what is listened to the most. The top three radio hosts are Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Glenn Beck (in that order) and host their own shows Monday-Friday. All three are conservatives who tell their side of what they believe is awaiting our country if the liberals take control of our government.
What I find interesting is that people consider these three men to be worse than the terrorists themselves. Now, I will admit to not liking everything about them. I think Rush is overconfident and obnoxious. Glenn is convinced that at any moment the world will end. Sean is one of them that I don't listen to very often, but that's mostly because of his time slot. At any rate, these three are only doing their jobs and they must be doing something right because holding spots number one, two, and three isn't anything to sneeze at. However, this could all change if the government has anything to say about it.
The government is looking to pass what is basically considered a fairness act. Instead of programs being aired because of ratings, programs would be aired based on content and each side would have an equal amount of time throughout the day to voice their opinions. In my own opinion, this would be tragic. Radio stations would lose money because people won't listen to what they don't like. Then the government would have to help keep the stations afloat and spend more of the money they don't have. Keep your eyes open folks because it's coming.
